TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)

The TOEIC test is an English language proficiency test for people whose native language is not English. It measures the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment. The scores indicate how well people can communicate in English with others in business, commerce and industry.

TOEIC Format

The test consists of 200 questions divided into two sections:

  • Listening: You will be asked to answer questions based on a variety of statements, questions, short conversations and short talks. Total time: approx 45 minutes.
  • Reading: You will read a variety of materials and respond to 100 questions. Total time: 75 minutes.

How to Apply to Sit a Test

International Pacific College is recognised as a Public TOEIC Test Centre. This means that not only internal students but also external candidates can take the TOEIC test at our campus.

If you are interested in taking the test or have any queries you can contact the TOEIC Administrator by emailing toeic@ipc.a.nz.  If you would like to apply to sit a TOEIC Test please complete the form below, then you can either scan and email the form to toeic@ipc.ac.nz or post the form to the following address: TOEIC, International Pacific College, Private Bag 11021, Palmerston North 4442.  Payment details are on the form. 

 

Cost

The cost for the Public to sit the test is $230.00 which includes a TOEIC Score Report, or $269.00 which includes a Certificate as well as the TOEIC Score Report and a photo must be supplied for either option.

All cheques must be made out to International Pacific College.

Identification

Candidates must bring a valid passport as ID.
